Older horses carry our stories. Our job is to keep them comfortable, confident, and moving well—without burn, sting, or drama. Here’s a calm, repeatable plan anchored in sensation-free, show-safe routines.

What changes with age (and how we respond)

  • Longer warm-ups/cool-downs: give joints and soft tissue time to settle.
  • Heat management: some seniors don’t sweat the same—cool gently and hydrate early.

Daily Routine (AM / Post-Work)

AM | Loosen & Protect (3–5 minutes)

  1. Hand-walk or light lunge 5–10 minutes.
  2. Apply a thin, even layer of Draw It Out® 16oz High Potency Gel to legs and large muscle groups.
  3. Wrap or boot if your program calls for it; keep gear clean/dry.

Post-Work | Cool, Target, Support (3–6 minutes)
