  • Start clean and dry: Remove debris and moisture before applying liniment gel.
  • Apply a whisper-thin layer: Think sheen, not smear. Hair texture should remain visible.
  • Let it set: Allow 1–3 minutes for the liniment gel to settle before wrapping.
  • Wrap evenly: Smooth layers with consistent tension. Avoid wrinkles or trapped grit.
  • Re-check early: At 30–45 minutes, confirm comfort, temperature, and stability.

How thin is “thin” for liniment gel?
If a wrap or boot shifts while you’re setting tension, too much gel was applied. You should still see hair texture. Blot lightly with a towel if needed.
