How to Use ShowBarn Secret® Skin & Hair Enhancer (Daily Routine + Problem-Solver)
The short version: apply a thin film at the skin (not just the hair shaft), leave it in, and be consistent. Use daily for skin trouble until it clears, then taper. For mane/tail growth, target the roots 2×/week and comb through. Works on wet or dry hair—no rinse needed.
1) Daily Skin Support (Rain-Rot & Friends)
- Start clean & dry. Brush off mud; if you wash, towel and air-dry first.
- Shake bottle. Mixes the goodies evenly.
- Part to the skin. Use fingers or a comb to expose the skin every 2–3 inches.
- Apply a thin film. Massage in with fingertips. Do not rinse.
- Repeat daily until the area looks and feels normal. Then taper: 3×/week → 2×/week → 1×/week over the next month.
2) Mane & Tail Growth Plan
Roots First
- Target the base of the mane and tailbone skin; that’s where growth happens.
- Use a nickel-size amount per section; over-applying just attracts dust.
- Work 2×/week. Comb through mid-lengths to ends after application.
Optional Braid/Bag
- Braid and tail-bag after product absorbs; keep braids loose and check daily.
- Reset weekly—unbraid, wash if needed, dry, re-apply at the roots, re-braid.
3) After-Bath / Detangle Routine
On towel-damp hair, apply a small amount from roots to tips and comb through for slip and shine. No rinse. Also works great on dry hair for mid-week refresh.

- Clip feathers only if they trap moisture; keep it neat for faster drying.
