Bad Experiences with Products: Why You Should Judge for Yourself

Every rider has had a bad run with a product. That doesn’t mean it defines the product—or your next ride.

Let’s be honest: we’ve all had a bad experience with a product at some point. Maybe it didn’t do what it promised. Maybe it reacted differently on your horse than someone else’s. Or maybe it just wasn’t the right fit for your barn routine. That’s part of life in the saddle and in the store aisles.

Some Folks Have More Bad Luck Than Others

Ever notice how some riders seem to hit more bumps in the road? They’ve got a story for every product under the sun. That doesn’t make their story untrue—it just means it’s their story. Horses, environments, routines, and expectations all shape how a product performs. What flops for one may fly for another.

Blame Isn’t Always the Truth

Think about it: have you ever gotten sick right after eating a certain food and then swore it off forever because you were convinced it made you sick? Later you realize it probably wasn’t the food at all, just bad timing or something else entirely. The same thing can happen with products. They’re often the easiest target to blame—even when they had nothing to do with the issue in the first place.

The Best Judge is You

At the end of the day, the only way to know if something works is to judge it for yourself. Reviews, warnings, and opinions can help you make an informed decision, but they can’t ride in your boots or care for your horse the way you do. Firsthand experience is the most honest test there is.

Our Promise

We’ve built Draw It Out® on the idea that riders deserve products that deliver on their word. We can’t promise perfection, but we can promise integrity, transparency, and a formula designed for real results. And we’ll always be here to back it up with honest care.

Bottom line: Don’t let someone else’s bad day with a product—or a coincidence—decide your horse’s future. Try it, test it, and make your own call. Because your judgment—built on loyalty, love, and firsthand experience—is what truly matters.
