Horse Supplement Red Flags

Supplements are for support routines. Red flags are for stopping, tracking, and getting help.

Choose the Right Supplement

Fast answer: if the horse is clinically abnormal, do not make it a supplement problem. Hydration issues, colic signs, heat illness signs, lameness, hoof pain, swelling, fever, depression, abnormal manure, off-feed behavior, or sudden change need professional guidance.

Hydration red flags

  • Not drinking or repeatedly refusing water.
  • Colic signs, abnormal manure, diarrhea, depression, weakness, or off-feed behavior.
  • Heat illness signs or abnormal recovery after work.

Mobility red flags

  • True lameness, one-sided change, non-weight-bearing behavior, or worsening movement.
  • Heat, swelling, hoof pain, strong digital pulse, or severe soreness.
  • Stumbling, dragging, neurological-looking change, or sudden performance drop.

How Draw It Out® product lanes fit

Hydro-Lyte® supports the hydration and gut-support lane. Fluid Flex EQ® supports the daily mobility and joint-support lane. Neither product replaces a veterinarian, farrier, diagnosis, or emergency plan.
