Some riders learn this life. Others are born into it. Lindy has been riding since she was two, raised on a working cattle operation where horses are partners, not ornaments. Barrel racing, pasture roping, cutting — she does it all with quiet confidence and a team she loves.

The Herd Behind the Rider

Every Real Rider has a story. Lindy has six:

• Star — her first barrel horse, self-trained, now a broodmare.
• Vernie — the gritty Quarter Horse mare who worked cattle and ran barrels; now retired to raise foals.
• Ghost — her 23-year-old gray who still goes to shows for fun and teaches lessons.
• JB — her 8-year-old registered Appaloosa with a reputation for high intelligence and high mischief.
• Bugs — a 15-year-old palomino Paint mare who always surprises her.
• Saint — a reliable 15-year-old sorrel gelding who lives up to his name.

JB: The Escape Artist

Every barn has a horse too smart for his own good. For Lindy, that’s JB. He learned to unlock the gate — then learned to lock himself back in. His timing? Always inconvenient. A special clip now keeps him contained... most of the time.
