Active rider applying topical gel to her forearm after physical activity

ReJüv™ Recovery Journal

Quick answer

Use ReJüv™ only according to the current human-use label. Before activity, start with clean, dry, intact skin, apply a thin layer, let it dry, and still warm up with movement. After activity, cool down first, wash away sweat and residue, dry the skin, apply a thin layer, and let it dry before clothing. Do not combine it with external heat, broken skin, tight occlusion, or improvised topical mixtures.

How do you use ReJüv™ before activity?

  1. Check the skin. Skip cuts, scrapes, rash, sunburn, blisters, or active irritation.
  2. Clean and dry the area. Do not layer it over sweat, dirt, sunscreen, another topical, or unknown residue.
  3. Use a thin layer. Spread a modest amount evenly over the intended area.
  4. Let it dry. Give it time before clothing, gloves, tack, driving, lifting, or exercise.
  5. Warm up with movement. Walk, move through comfortable ranges, and increase effort gradually.
Important: ReJüv™ is not a warm-up. Skin sensation does not prepare balance, coordination, muscles, or joints for work.

Before a ride, barn shift, show day, long drive, or physical job, keep the topical step simple enough that it does not replace the actual preparation. A good sequence is clean skin, thin layer, dry time, then movement.

How do you use ReJüv™ after activity?

First bring the effort down. Walk, breathe, hydrate, and let your temperature and heart rate settle. Then clean sweat, dust, grooming residue, sunscreen, or work grime from the intended area and dry the skin.

Apply a thin, even layer according to the label. Wash your hands unless your hands are the application area. Let the gel dry before changing clothes, pulling on work gloves, getting into bed, or touching another person or animal.

Use the next day as feedback. Ask whether movement and function are normal, whether the area is settling, and whether the same work setup keeps recreating the problem. A topical routine is strongest when it supports better decisions rather than helping you repeat the same overload.

Should you apply ReJüv™ over sweat or immediately after a shower?

Do not apply it over sweat, mud, dust, clipper oil, shampoo residue, or another product. Wash the area and dry it completely. After a shower, make sure the skin is cool and dry rather than warm, wet, or irritated from scrubbing.

Hot-weather work requires a different order: cool the person first, then consider ordinary recovery. If there is dizziness, nausea, confusion, unusual weakness, fainting, or inability to cool down, address the heat concern and seek appropriate medical care instead of reaching for a topical. Use the hot-weather barn-work recovery guide for a heat-first routine.

Can you put clothing, gloves, or a brace over ReJüv™?

Let the product dry before normal loose clothing. Do not create tight occlusion or trap the product under an airtight covering unless the current label or a qualified clinician specifically allows it. Tight coverings can change how moisture, friction, and topical products behave on the skin.

For riders, grooms, and workers, think about where transfer can occur: gloves, waistbands, socks, boots, braces, saddle contact, bedding, vehicle seats, and another person’s skin. A thin layer and proper dry time reduce mess and make the routine easier to repeat.

The ReJüv™ frequency and dry-time guide covers application timing in more detail.

Can ReJüv™ be combined with sunscreen, heat, or another topical?

Do not improvise combinations. Avoid applying it over sunscreen, medicated patches, another topical product, or unknown residue. Do not add a heating pad, hot water bottle, external heat, or tight occlusion unless the current label or your clinician specifically allows the combination.

If sunscreen is needed, keep the routines separate rather than stacking products on the same area without guidance. Clean and dry the skin before the topical step. The same rule applies after grooming or show prep: shampoo, clipper oil, sprays, and dust should be removed from the human application area first.

Review the ReJüv™ ingredient guide before use if you have a known sensitivity or allergy concern.

What is the easiest repeatable ReJüv™ routine?

Before
Check skin → clean and dry → thin layer → dry → movement-based warm-up.
After
Cool down → wash away sweat and residue → dry → thin layer → wash hands.
Next day
Recheck movement, function, skin, and whether the workload needs to change.

Put the package where the routine happens. A 3 oz size in a show bag or truck and a larger size at home may be more useful than one package that is always somewhere else. Compare formats in the ReJüv™ size guide.

For occupation-specific examples, see the show-groom recovery routine and the farrier recovery routine.

How should sensitive-skinned users start?

Patch-test before broad use. Apply a small amount to a limited area as directed and watch for redness, itching, swelling, burning, blistering, or another reaction. Stop use and wash the area if irritation develops.

The American Academy of Dermatology advises testing a skin-care product on a small area before broader use when practical. Review its skin-product testing guidance.

When should you stop the routine and seek medical care?

Stop using the product if the skin becomes irritated. Seek appropriate medical care for severe, sudden, traumatic, unexplained, persistent, or worsening symptoms; new weakness or numbness; major swelling; loss of normal function; chest pain; trouble breathing; or symptoms after a significant fall or impact.

Do not use a topical product to hide a problem that changes gait, grip, balance, strength, safe riding, driving, or work.

Frequently asked questions

Can ReJüv™ be used before physical activity?
Use it before activity only according to the human-use label, on clean, dry, intact skin, and early enough to dry. It does not replace a gradual warm-up.
Can ReJüv™ be used after activity?
Yes, after a gradual cool-down and after sweat and residue have been cleaned from intact skin. Apply a thin layer as directed.
How much should I use?
Use a modest amount that spreads into a thin, even layer. More product is not automatically more useful.
Can I use it under a heating pad or tight wrap?
Do not add external heat, tight occlusion, or another topical unless the label or your clinician specifically says the combination is appropriate.

Keep the routine clean and repeatable

Use the label, respect the skin, let the product dry, and make ReJüv™ support better work and movement habits rather than replace them.
