Draw It Out® — Hydrate Smart. Recover Steady.

Recovery-Ready Hydration

A simple hydration loop for work, heat, and hauling—built for show programs and everyday barns. Keep water close, electrolytes measured, and routines consistent.

Be your horse’s hero. We’ll help you do it.

Step 1

Pre-Ride Prime

  • Offer fresh water before tacking; note eagerness to drink.
  • When heat, humidity, or workload demand, add a measured electrolyte serving per label.
  • Keep a second bucket of plain water available so horses can choose.

Simple rule: water is always on; electrolytes are measured.

Step 2

Post-Ride Rehydrate

  • Cool down, then offer water immediately.
  • Provide an electrolyte serving per label; consider a lightly flavored mash to encourage intake.
  • Recheck in 20–30 minutes; top off buckets before you leave.

Consistency beats heroics—small wins, every ride.

Step 3

Travel Reset

  • Before hauling: prime with water access; add electrolytes per program.
  • After hauling: walk out, then offer water and an electrolyte mix.
  • On long trips, stop to check buckets, refill, and encourage drinking.
Quick Checks

Hydration At-A-Glance

  • Skin tent: Pinch neck skin; it should spring back quickly.
  • Gums: Pink and moist; capillary refill ~2 seconds.
  • Urine: Pale to straw; dark = concentrate/monitor.
  • Attitude: Bright, willing, normal appetite.

FAQ

How much should I feed?

Use the product label as your baseline and adjust with your veterinarian or trainer based on sweat rate, weather, and workload. Always provide free-choice fresh water.

Salt block vs. electrolytes?

Free-choice salt is a good foundation. Electrolyte support is used when sweat losses increase (work, heat, travel). They can be used together as part of a balanced program.

Will my horse drink the mix?

Many horses accept it readily. Keep a plain-water bucket next to the mix and consider a light mash post-ride to encourage intake.

Heads up: This guide is for routine care. It doesn’t diagnose or treat medical conditions. If you suspect dehydration or illness, call your veterinarian.

Hydrate simple. Recover steady.

Make hydration automatic—before work, after work, and after wheels. Small, consistent wins add up.
