Real Rider of the Month: Meet Kierlyn Parham & Her Barrel Racing Duo!

At Draw It Out®, we love highlighting riders who show passion, perseverance, and heart—and this month, we’re excited to feature Kierlyn Parham, a dedicated barrel racer from Valrico, Florida! With over a decade of riding experience, she’s faced the highs and lows of competition, but through it all, she remains committed to her horses, her goals, and the journey.

Meet the Horses Behind the Rider 🐎

Kierlyn’s equine partners are as unique as her riding story:

💖 Scarlett – A 20-25 year old sorrel grade mare and Kierlyn’s heart horse. Owned for 8 years, Scarlett is the ultimate sweet and nurturing boss mare, always the first to greet Kierlyn at the fence.

🌟 Mako (LD Bully Olena Dunit) – A 6-year-old palomino AQHA gelding and Kierlyn’s first self-trained horse. Since getting him in September 2024, she’s been laying the foundation, building trust, and putting him on the barrel pattern at her own steady pace.
