FAQ

Cooling routine questions answered.

Quick answers for riders building a wash-rack and targeted-care routine around IceBath™, liniment gel, and barn-size formats.

Where should I start in this collection?

Start with IceBath™ 32oz if you want a hose-ready wash-rack product for hot days, sweat, hauling, training, or long show weekends. Move up to 128oz when IceBath™ becomes part of regular barn use.

When should I choose the 128oz IceBath™?

Choose the 128oz size when you wash multiple horses, use IceBath™ often, or want more product on hand during hot weather and heavier-use months.

How does IceBath™ fit with Draw It Out® liniment gel?

Use IceBath™ for the rinse-off wash-rack step. Use Draw It Out® liniment gel when you want a targeted, stay-put application after the horse is clean and dry enough for that part of the routine.

Is this collection only for summer?

No. Hot weather is a natural fit, but riders may also use these products after hauling, training, long barn days, and show weekends when a wash-rack routine makes sense. Use common sense with weather, water temperature, and the horse’s comfort.

Are these products competition-minded?

These products are built for clean, practical barn routines. Always confirm current rules for your discipline and program, follow label directions, and remember that governing bodies do not pre-approve individual products.

What should I use after the wash step?

If targeted care makes sense after the wash-rack routine, start with the 16oz Draw It Out® liniment gel. For regular multi-horse use, the 64oz liniment gel may be the better barn-size option.

Simple rule: IceBath™ for the wash-rack step, liniment gel for targeted placement, and larger sizes when the routine becomes regular.

Cooling Recovery for Horses

Current availability: IceBath™ 128oz Cooling Body Wash Refill is the in-stock cooling product in this collection. IceBath™ 32oz and CryoSpray® may remain visible while temporarily out of stock. Check each listing before relying on it for an upcoming show, haul, or heat plan.

Cooling recovery starts with the horse, not the bottle. Workload, temperature, humidity, fitness, coat, travel, airflow, water access, and the horse’s normal recovery pattern all matter. No wash or spray can make unsafe riding conditions safe or replace active cooling and veterinary care during a heat emergency.

Use this collection when

  • You already use IceBath™ in regular wash-rack or multi-horse routines.
  • You need a gallon refill for hot-weather and post-work body-wash use.
  • You understand that product follows cooldown, hydration awareness, and a hands-on check.
  • You will follow the current label rather than inventing a stronger mixture.

Do not confuse routine cooling with emergency care

Stop work and act promptly when a horse shows distress, weakness, incoordination, collapse, abnormal sweating, worsening breathing, unusually slow recovery, or behavior outside its normal pattern. Move to shade and airflow, begin an appropriate cooling plan, offer water as directed, and contact a veterinarian.

Before the next ride

Use the Horse Heat Index Pre-Ride Guide to decide whether to shorten, reschedule, or skip work. If you are unsure whether the concern belongs in heat, stiffness, skin, hoof, or travel care, use the Solution Finder.

Choosing the available format

The 128oz refill is built for barns and riders already committed to IceBath™. If you need a smaller first bottle and the 32oz listing is out of stock, wait for the correct format rather than buying a gallon that does not fit your actual use.
