Cold weather hydration
Winter hydration problems are quieter than summer sweat problems. Cold water, less obvious sweat, hay-heavy diets, stall time, travel, and routine changes can all affect water intake.
Fast answer: winter electrolyte planning is really water-intake planning. Hydro-Lyte® may fit when hauling, work, changed water, sweat under blankets, or reduced intake create a reason for support, but fresh water, salt access, and monitoring still come first.
In summer, sweat makes the problem obvious. In winter, the horse may drink less because the water is cold, movement is lower, forage is higher, or the schedule changes. You still need to watch buckets, manure, appetite, and attitude.
Hydro-Lyte® with GastroCell® fits the electrolyte and gut-support lane when winter workload or routine disruption justifies it. Use according to label directions.
Some may when work, hauling, sweating, changed water, or low intake create a reason. Winter hydration starts with water, salt, and monitoring.
Water intake, manure, appetite, attitude, sweat under blankets, and whether the horse is normal for that horse.
