What’s Not In Our Bottle: The Draw It Out® Standard for Safe, Honest Horse Care

What’s Not In Our Bottle

No capsaicin heat. No heavy perfume clouds. No dye theatrics. No gimmicks. Our Quiet Standard keeps barns calm: sensation‑free, colorless, low‑odor, label‑true.

Rider‑First Quiet Standard Show‑Friendly Mindset

Why It Matters

Products shouldn’t make horses “feel loud.” Certain inputs and tactics can add sensation, scent, or color transfer that changes behavior under tack and in wraps. We avoid those. We build for calm, repeatable routines—the same at home, on the road, and on show day.

Educational page. Always read each product label and consult your veterinarian.

The No‑List (and Why)

Heat & Tingle Drivers

  • Capsaicin, “fire & ice” theatrics — can create sensation under tack/wraps.
  • Over‑amped menthol/camphor stacks — we avoid formulas built to “feel strong.”

Loud Scents & Dyes

  • Heavy perfumes / strong fragrance oils — add aisle noise.
  • Synthetic dyes for “color shows strength” — risk transfer, especially on whites.

Harsh Bases

  • High‑volatility solvent spikes — aggressive alcohol burn/flash‑off isn’t our style.
  • Greasy, tacky occlusives under wraps — we avoid heavy, gummy films that don’t play nice with work.

Questionable Add‑Ins

  • Parabens & phthalates — excluded by our standard.
  • Nitrofurazone — a topical drug we don’t use in Draw It Out® products.
This list reflects our brand standard across Draw It Out® products. Each item still has its own label and purpose—read the exact label in your hand.

What We Use Instead (The Quiet Standard)

Sensation‑Free Approach

  • Colorless & low‑odor profiles to keep aisles calm.
  • Thin‑layer application on intact skin, dry‑to‑touch before wraps/tack.
  • Consistent routines riders can repeat anywhere.

Rider‑First R&D

  • Field feedback loops—what works in real barns, not lab theatrics.
  • Simple directions, clear labels, and show‑day awareness.
  • We kill ideas that don’t meet the bar (see our Formula Graveyard).

The Barn Test (Fast)

  1. Baseline: Hands on legs/back; compare left/right; check digital pulse & demeanor.
  2. Apply Quiet: Thin layer on intact skin. Let hair go dry‑to‑touch before wraps/tack.
  3. Recheck at 15–30 min: Heat trend, tension, scent carry, color transfer.

Red flags (heat with pain, one‑leg swelling, fever, non‑weight‑bearing, rapid change) — call your veterinarian.
