Fall Horse Care Recovery Checklist: Keep Legs Cool, Clean & Show-Safe
Autumn brings crisp mornings—and new stress on legs and skin. Use this four-step checklist to keep recovery steady and tomorrow’s ride ready.
Step 1 — Cool with purpose
Skip the soak. Target heat on tendons and big muscle groups, then scrape between passes so warm water doesn’t trap heat. For precise, portable cooling, keep CryoSpray® in the trailer and the wash rack.
Step 2 — Dry to the bone
Damp legs under compression are a shortcut to rubs. Towel thoroughly; give a minute of airflow on humid days. Clean, dry skin is the foundation of every good recovery habit.
