Performance drop usually shows up before obvious lameness. The most common causes are workload fatigue, soreness, hydration imbalance, tack pressure, and early comfort issues. Your job is to spot the pattern, run a few simple checks, and choose a calm reset plan.

  • Less impulsion and slower transitions
  • Quitting early, breaking gait, or feeling dull
  • Starts fine then fades mid ride
  • Sudden resistance to bend, engage, or collect
  • More tightness the next morning
