The short answer: Hydro-Lyte® and Fluid Flex EQ® solve different barn problems. Hydro-Lyte® belongs in the electrolyte and hydration-support lane, with a GastroCell™ blend included in the formula. Fluid Flex EQ® belongs in daily joint and mobility support. What they share is clear label information, practical daily directions, and the Draw It Out® name on the front.

Anybody can print promises on a tub. The harder thing is putting your name on the front and giving riders a straight answer about what is inside.

If we ask you to put something in your horse's feed every day, you deserve to know what is in the scoop, how much the current label declares, what job the formula is designed to do, and where its limits are.

What does the name on the front mean?

At Draw It Out®, our name is not decoration. It is accountability. It means you should be able to ask a direct question and get a useful answer. It also means that when something is not clear enough, we fix it.

That is why the ingredient details below now appear on our retail and dealer listings too. Transparency should not depend on whether you are buying one tub for your horse or stocking a shelf for your customers.

What we mean when we talk about quality

Purity is a serious word, and it deserves evidence instead of an adjective. We are not going to call a supplement “the purest” simply because it sounds good. What we can show you is the current ingredient declaration, the exact amounts provided on the label, the intended use lane, and the directions that belong with the product.

Purpose before clutter

Each formula should have a clear job in the feed room. Hydro-Lyte® is not Fluid Flex EQ®, and Fluid Flex EQ® is not a catch-all.

Declared amounts matter

A familiar ingredient name is not enough. Where the label gives an amount, we publish it so riders can compare the actual serving.

Inactive ingredients count too

Flavor, carriers, and supporting ingredients are still part of what goes in the bucket. We list them instead of treating them like fine print.

The whole horse still matters

A supplement fits inside complete care. It does not replace fresh water, forage, conditioning, turnout, farrier work, veterinary care, or good barn observation.

What is in Hydro-Lyte®?

Hydro-Lyte® is designed for electrolyte and hydration-support routines around heat, sweat, hauling, work, and changing barn conditions. Amounts below are listed per current label dose. One scoop equals one dose.

Why each Hydro-Lyte® ingredient is included

  • Sodium chloride, 1,656 mg: supplies sodium and chloride, two major electrolytes lost through sweat. They support normal fluid balance, muscle contraction, and nerve function.
  • Potassium chloride, 1,152 mg: supplies potassium and additional chloride to support normal fluid balance, nerve signaling, and muscle function.
  • Magnesium oxide, 192 mg: supplies magnesium for normal muscle and nerve function and energy metabolism.
  • Zinc sulfate, 60 mg: supplies zinc used by normal enzyme systems and involved in maintaining skin, coat, hoof, and immune function.
  • Manganese sulfate, 9.6 mg: supplies manganese involved in normal enzyme activity, connective-tissue maintenance, and bone metabolism.
  • Dicalcium phosphate, 466 mg: supplies calcium and phosphorus for mineral balance, normal skeletal function, and energy metabolism.
  • Ferrous sulfate, 26.88 mg: supplies a small amount of iron involved in normal hemoglobin formation and oxygen transport. Hydro-Lyte® is not positioned as an iron supplement or blood builder.

Formula update: Sodium fluoride has been officially removed from the Hydro-Lyte® formula. Some packaging may still display the previous ingredient panel during the label transition.

Why each GastroCell® ingredient is included

  • Vitamin B1, 50 mg: supports normal carbohydrate metabolism and nerve function.
  • Magnesium chelate, 114 mg: provides an additional magnesium source for normal muscle, nerve, and metabolic function.
  • Betaine HCl, 840 mg: supplies betaine, an osmolyte involved in cellular water management, and complements the digestive-support portion of the formula.
  • L-glutamine, 170 mg: supplies an amino acid used by intestinal cells and other tissues to support normal digestive-tissue maintenance.
  • Natural antioxidants and rosemary: help protect ingredients from oxidation and maintain product freshness.
  • Apple and molasses flavor: supports palatability in the horse's regular feed.

Important for HYPP and potassium-restricted horses: The standard Hydro-Lyte® formula contains potassium chloride. Confirm suitability with the treating veterinarian before use when a horse has HYPP or a veterinarian-directed potassium restriction.

What is in Fluid Flex EQ®?

Fluid Flex EQ® is a granulated, feed-through horse joint and mobility supplement. The current label directs 12 grams per day and includes a scoop.

Why each Fluid Flex EQ® ingredient is included

  • Chia seed powder, 390 mg: provides a complementary plant-based source of alpha-linolenic acid and other naturally occurring nutrients. At this amount, it complements the formula rather than serving as a full-dose omega-3 supplement.
  • Sodium hyaluronate, 100 mg: supplies hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in joint fluid and connective tissues, to support normal joint lubrication, cushioning, and mobility.
  • Lecithin, 100 mg: provides phospholipids and helps the formula mix and disperse evenly.
  • Apple and molasses flavor, molasses, and brewer's yeast: support palatability and give body to the finished blend.
  • Citric acid: helps control acidity and supports product stability.
  • Natural antioxidants and rosemary: help protect ingredients from oxidation and maintain freshness.
  • Rice hulls and vegetable fiber: act as carriers and flow ingredients to help distribute small active amounts evenly and support consistent scooping.

Hydro-Lyte® and Fluid Flex EQ® are not interchangeable. One belongs in electrolyte and hydration-support planning. The other belongs in daily joint and mobility support. Choosing well starts by naming the actual job, reading the current label, and building a routine the barn can follow consistently.

It also means knowing when a feed-through supplement is not the next step. Sudden lameness, severe stiffness, heat illness, dehydration, colic signs, non-weight-bearing behavior, neurologic-looking changes, or any rapid clinical change calls for professional evaluation.
